The Practice at Verdure Somatic Studio | Ballwin, MO
Employment: Independent contractor (1099), paid per session
Location: In person, 15480 Clayton Road, Suite 300
Schedule: One to two sessions per week to start, worked out togetherThe Practice is what we call our guided group sessions: recovery, breath, and restorative movement, led by practitioners who know why it works. A Guided Session Facilitator leads those rooms. This is not a fitness class and it is not a yoga studio. It is nervous system work in a group, team-taught, and it is the place where everything else we do gets practiced.
We're looking for someone whose contribution is group facilitation: a teacher, a mover, a breath person, a somatic practitioner, or a bodyworker who wants to lead a room.
What you'd do
Lead sessions in our established formats. {Breath} is breathwork. {Dynamic} is a yoga flow. {Slow Down} is NSDR, non-sleep deep rest. {Sound} is sound therapy. {ELDOA} is targeted spinal and fascial decompression. Which ones you lead depends on your training
Start as a participant and assist. We orient you to our formats and our breathwork method, and you lead when you're ready
Plan and deliver sessions that are consistent, precise, and rooted in nervous system regulation. Original work, your lens, inside our structure
Arrive early and set the room: props, music, environment. Reset it after
Help build the room. Retention and attendance are shared work between you and the studio
Co-develop new Practice formats as the role grows, and facilitate workshops by mutual agreement (paid separately)
The Society and the team
The Society is Verdure's paid membership community, and our practitioners are part of it, not adjacent to it. Full membership is provided, member-facing content you contribute is paid work, and you promote your own sessions while we handle the schedule, booking, and the marketing engine.
Team meetings are monthly, in person, and recorded. Come if you can; if you can't, watch the recording. Either way, meeting time is paid at the meeting rate.
Requirements
A credential that qualifies you to lead group movement, breath, or somatic work: 200-hour yoga teacher training, a breathwork certification, a massage or bodywork license, a movement certification, or equivalent professional training
Comfort holding a room, and the ability to adapt a session to the bodies actually in it
Current professional liability insurance, or willingness to obtain it before your first session
Experience with nervous system regulation or restorative formats is a plus. Willingness to learn ours is required
Pay and what Verdure provides
Paid per session, at $40 per session plus $5 per participant after the first five, with team meetings paid at $30/hour.
Sessions start at one to two a week and grow with the schedule.
A finished, intentional space with the props and tools for your sessions, booking and payment handled, orientation in our formats and breathwork method, website and schedule presence, and inclusion in email campaigns and referrals.
Full membership in The Society, unlimited Practice as a participant, 30% off retail, 50% off practitioner services.
Room to grow as the schedule expands, including specialty formats built around your expertise.
