Verdure Website Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are and What This Covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Michelle Bloyd-Fink, LLC dba Verdure Somatic Studio ("Verdure," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit verdurestl.com, join The Society at Verdure, book a Council session or Practice class, buy a digital product, subscribe to our emails, or otherwise interact with us. Verdure was formerly known as Bloom Mind + Body Co., Ballwin.
We are a small studio. We collect what we need to run the business and care for you well, and not more. We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
This policy applies to information collected through our website, our membership community, our booking and scheduling platforms, our email and messaging tools, and in person at the studio. It is incorporated into our Terms & Conditions. Where you use a third-party platform to interact with us (for example, to pay or to book), that platform's own privacy policy also applies to what it collects directly.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us.
Contact details: name, email address, phone number, mailing address
Account details: login credentials for our community and booking platforms, profile photo, and anything you choose to add to your profile
Payment details: processed by our payment processors; we see the card type, last four digits, and transaction history, never your full card number
Booking and attendance records: which sessions, classes, and events you book, attend, cancel, or miss
Purchase history: memberships, passes, packages, digital products, and events
Communications: emails, texts, contact-form submissions, social media messages, and replies to our messaging automations
Community activity: posts, comments, reactions, poll votes, challenge tracker entries, and participation in our rewards program
Survey, quiz, and intake responses
Health information. Before an in-person Council session or class, we ask you to complete an intake form that may include health conditions, injuries, pregnancy status, medications, and other information relevant to your safety. You may also share health information in community posts, messages, or during sessions. We collect this only to provide services safely and tailor them to you. We treat it as sensitive, limit who can see it to the practitioners and staff who need it, and never use it for marketing. Counseling records kept by a licensed clinical social worker are governed by that practitioner's own professional confidentiality obligations and are not part of Verdure's records.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website or use our platforms, we and our service providers may collect your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, links clicked, referring site, and general location (city or region). This is collected through cookies and similar technologies described in Section 6.
Information from others. If you join through a partner organization's offer, that partner may tell us you are eligible. If you are referred by another member, we may record who referred you. Social media platforms share limited engagement data with us when you interact with our content.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Provide the services you book or buy, including scheduling, delivering sessions and classes, hosting the community, and giving you access to content
Process payments, manage memberships and renewals, apply discounts and credits, and issue receipts
Keep you safe during in-person services, using the health information you provide
Run the rewards program, including tracking participation and fulfilling rewards Send transactional messages: booking confirmations, reminders, receipts, schedule changes, membership and billing notices
Send marketing: newsletters, offers, event announcements, and social media automations, where you have opted in
Respond to your questions and support requests
Understand how our website and services are used so we can improve them
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions
Protect the safety of our clients, team, and studio
4. The Platforms That Handle Your Data
We run the studio on a small set of third-party platforms. Each one processes your information on our behalf under its own privacy policy and security practices. We do not control those platforms, but we choose them with care.
Circle hosts The Society community: your member profile, posts, comments, course progress, rewards points, and membership billing.
Jane handles Council (1:1) booking, intake forms, session notes, and payments.
Punchpass handles Practice class scheduling, reservations, attendance, passes, and drop-in payments.
Stripe processes payments for Circle, Punchpass, and Flodesk checkouts. Stripe stores your card details; we do not.
Flodesk sends our email newsletters and lead magnets and runs some event and product checkouts.
ManyChat runs the Instagram and messaging automations you trigger by replying with a keyword.
Squarespace hosts our website, contact forms, and site analytics.
Google Workspace handles our email, calendar, and internal documents. Our private podcast host delivers member-only audio.
We may add or replace platforms over time. The categories of information and how we use them will not change without an update to this policy.
5. When We Share Information
We share with:
The platforms in Section 4, to the extent needed to run the service
Our practitioners and team members who need the information to serve you (for example, your intake form goes to the practitioner you are seeing; the Member Support Coordinator sees your membership status)
Independent practitioners on The Council, who are separate businesses, when you book with them; they keep their own records under their own policies
Our bookkeeper and professional advisors, for accounting, legal, and tax purposes
Partner organizations, only to confirm you redeemed a partner offer, never your activity or health information
Law enforcement or regulators, when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect someone's safety
A successor business, if Verdure is sold or merged; you would be notified
We never:
Sell your personal information
Share your health information for marketing, with partners, or with anyone outside the practitioners and staff who need it
Share your community posts, attendance, or purchase history with other members or outside parties, except in anonymized form as described in Section 8
6. Cookies, Analytics, and Pixels
Our website and platforms use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes:
Essential: keeping you logged in, remembering your cart, and making the site work. These cannot be turned off.
Analytics: understanding which pages are visited and how people move through the site, through Squarespace analytics and similar tools. This data is aggregated.
Advertising: we may use the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixel or similar tools to measure whether our social media content leads to visits or sign-ups, and to show our content to people who have visited our site.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the site from working. We do not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, as there is no common standard for them.
7. Marketing Emails and Texts
Email. When you download a free resource, join The Society, buy something, or sign up on our site, we add you to our email list. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops marketing; you will still receive transactional messages about your bookings, membership, and purchases as long as you have an active relationship with us.
Texts. We text only people who have opted in, for appointment reminders, class updates, closures, and occasional studio announcements. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
Social messaging. If you reply to one of our Instagram posts or stories with a keyword, our automation will send you a direct message with the resource or link you asked for. We may follow up once. You can stop by replying STOP or by not engaging further.
8. Community Content and Anonymized Sharing
The Society is a private community. What you post there is visible to other members and to our team, but not to the public. Other members may see your name, profile photo, posts, comments, and position on the community leaderboard.
We may share the ideas, questions, and reflections members post, in our newsletter, podcast, social media, or other content, but only in anonymized form: no names, usernames, photos, or identifying details. If we ever want to attribute something to you by name, or use your photo or likeness, we will ask you first and you can say no.
We ask members to keep what is shared in the community confidential, and our Terms & Conditions require it, but we cannot guarantee what other members do with information they see. Please share at the level you are comfortable with.
9. How Long We Keep Information and How We Protect It
Retention. We keep your account, booking, and purchase records for as long as you have a relationship with us and for seven years afterward for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. Intake and session records are kept as required by Missouri licensing rules for massage therapy and related professions. Community posts remain in the community until you delete them or your membership ends; we may keep them in backups for a limited period afterward. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe.
Security. We rely on the security practices of the platforms in Section 4, each of which uses encryption in transit and at rest. Access to your information is limited to team members and practitioners who need it. We use strong passwords and two-factor authentication on our business accounts. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law.
10. Your Choices and Rights
You can, at any time:
Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct anything that is inaccurate, most of which you can do yourself in your Circle, Jane, or Punchpass account
Delete your account and personal information, subject to records we are required to keep by law
Unsubscribe from marketing emails or texts, as described in Section 7
Opt out of anonymized sharing of your community posts
Withdraw consent for us to use your health information, understanding that we may then be unable to provide in-person services safely
To exercise any of these, email hello@verdurestl.com. We will respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity first. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
State privacy laws. Missouri does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy law. If you live in a state that does (such as California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, or Texas), you may have additional rights, including the right to know what categories of information we collect and to opt out of targeted advertising. Because we are a small business, most of these laws do not apply to us by their thresholds, but we honor the requests above for everyone regardless.
11. Children, Changes, and Contact
Children. Our website, community, and online services are for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 online. Minors may receive in-person services only with a parent or guardian's consent, and the parent or guardian provides any intake information.
Changes to this policy. We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The "last updated" date below will change, and for material changes we will notify active members and subscribers by email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
